Rutledge Day Parade

After no sleep from Morgan Co Relay for Life, I attend the Rutledge Day Parade on Saturday, May 21, 2011. I was accompanied by Morgan Co RFL Queens. We rode in the back of my F250 truck. I will say a good concealer is something everyone Queen should have!!

Morgan Co. Relay for Life 2011

On Friday, May 20th, 2011 through early am Saturday, May 21st, 2011, I was helping organize the Morgan County Relay for Life 2011. The event was held at the local high school track. I wore many hats during the event - helping with survivor dinner along with my RFL Queens; walking the survivor lap as a cancer survivor; counting monies during the night; answering questions as a committee member; playing trash woman at the end. At 6:30 am the running total was given = 48,000.00 and still counting.

Town & Country Open House

On Thursday, May 19, 2011, I attended the Town & Country Open House in Madison, GA. This was my first stop on a busy night of appearances. The store is a favorite in Madison for North Face items & very upscale Women clothing. I purchased my opening number blouse from this store. I am standing with Ginger Gardner, store owner.

Royal Reception Shopping Celebration

Where were you on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 4am -- I was watching the Royal Wedding of William and Kate. Her dress was awesome and the ceremony was beautiful. I had to go to work during the choir songs after the vows were exchanged but logged out to the Internet just before the big kiss. How special to be able to watch two Royal Weddings in my lifetime and hope to see more. The night before local merchants in Madison, GA called me to borrow crowns and my hat for the special day of shopping and celebrating on the Madison Square on 4/29/11. I was not able to attend due to Newton Co RFL - I did deliver crowns for them to enjoy! I will post more pictures when the merchants send them to me.

Newton Co Relay For Life

On Friday, April 29, 2011, was a very special night for myself and many people in Newton County GA. We raised through the year over 200,000 with the event being the main show case for all the teams. I direct and produce a benefit pageant in the fall to help raise monies for the Newton RFL.
Myself & Relay Queens serving donated Blimpie sandwiches along with a homemade cookie. The cookies were made on Monday 4/25/11 at my home with other volunteers - made over 250 cookies along with store brought cookies - we bagged 400 cookies to be given out on relay night.

Madison Fest in Madison, GA

A beautiful day for a festival in the town park located in downtown Madison, GA - close to my town. It was a great Saturday (4/30/11) to see local vendors show their special homemade goods.
Purchasing homemade doggy treats to support the Morgan Co Humane Society.
My dog - Honey "Boo-Boo" loved the treats!
I have been married for 18 years in June - I was wanted a picture of the church where we were married. The search was completed at Madison Fest. I am so excited to frame the picture & hang in our home.
